Surface Grinding & Preparation

Image
As you see in this picture, the masonry paint is failing. The bond has been broken and now the paint is peeling everywhere.  We can grind the surface with minimal damage to the concrete and remove the paint or epoxy or coatings. After grinding the surface we also pressure wash and de-grease surface to insure a clean prepped surface.  At this point the surface is ready for many different options. Such as concrete stain and sealer, stamped overlay, stencil overlays or a high quality, deep penetrating concrete paint. Or the concrete can be resurfaced to bring it back to its original state or but be left the way it is.

Metallic Epoxy, Concrete Sealing

Image
This 5 car garage needed an amazing floor to set off the coolness of this garage. The homeowner picked a metallic epoxy. This floor is very durable plus looks like marble flooring.  We also cleaned the 4000 square feet of colored concrete driveway and gave it a clear coat seal to prolong fading of color and avoid stains.

Backyard for Entertaining

Image
We wanted to separate the patio area from the yard and spa area. So we built a 4 ft wall with a planter which ties into the BBQ area as well. As you can see we did a smooth stucco finish which the customer wanted sealed not painted to have a gray appearance.  We used a tinted sealer for the wall caps to help tie it in with the flagstone overlay which we did after the major hardscape was done. The 10 foot BBQ is all block construction, with two access doors and a mini frig. We used a pour in place colored concrete counter-top with a rounded bull nose to add detail. Sedona Spas installed a spa with a surround kit, we overlay-ed it to match the patio.

Estrella Mountain Ranch - Archway Project

Image
This customer wanted to create a courtyard feel in the front yard. Have two big archways to walk through that leads to the front door of the home. Plus add a paver walkway leading to the street that ties into the existing walkway.                                                                          After the footing was excavated and poured it was time to start laying block.  All block is laid and stuccoed, archways are built. Pavers are being installed, then two coats of self priming masonry paint to match the house.                                       All finished !!! Custom two piece gates to be installed.

Front yard Courtyard

Image
We cut a 4 foot opening in the existing property wall to install a metal gate which will lead to the new court yard.                     A 96 inch locking gate was custom built to keep people from approaching the front door.                          Skip trowel stucco finish was used to match the home and then painted.

Need a Footing?

Image
This customer had no footing under the 3 coulmns supporting the patio's roof. The weight made the patio crack and settle. We removed the patio and dug out for the footings and poured a mono slab. Then the columns were re-attached and stuccoed to show no signs of construcion work.

This home was in need of something , it had a lot of charm and nice open floor plan . Some black and tan  field stone added some character to the entrance of the kitchen and living room .                                                 We used a 60 / 40 % blend of black vs. tan .

Fire And Spice at the Sheraton

Image
New restaurant at the Phoenix Airport Sheraton had plans to have a fireplace built for the patio seating area. After we started building this thing we realized we might be building one of the largest fireplaces in the valley . Rustic Ledge stone Sequoia is being used to cover the block. Stone is lightly grouted and the fire brick is installed. After a thorough wash down to remove dust, a clear concrete sealer is applied to the hearth and concrete caps.
